Song: “The Love of God” by Frederick M. Lehman and Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai

Reading: Call to Worship

L: The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples.
C: Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he!

L: The King in his might loves justice. You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
C: Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!
(Psalm 99:1-5, ESV)

Song: “All Creatures of Our God and King” by David Crowder, William Henry Draper, Brent Milligan, and St. Francis of Assisi

Reading: Confession

L: O Lord of Grace, The world is before us today, and we are weak and fearful, but we look to you for strength;
C: If we venture forth alone we stumble and fall, but on the Beloved’s arms we are held firm.
L: If we were left to our own treacherous hearts, we would bring shame to your name,
C: But if guided and upheld by your Spirit, We will bring you glory.
L: Lord of Mercy, be the arm that supports us, our strength to stand, our light to see, our shield to protect, and our sword to repel the enemy.
C: We know that all lovingkindness is in your Son, Jesus, and we plead his blood to pay our debts. By the power of your holy spirit, lead us back to your grace in Jesus.  Accept his worthiness for our unworthiness, his sinlessness for my sin, his purity for my uncleanness, his humility for my pride, his obedience for my rebellion, his glory for my shame, his death for my life. Amen.

Song: “Lead Us Back” by Bobby Gilles and Brooks Ritter

Reading: Assurance

L: But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, he did not forsake or leave us in our death, but he made us alive by his Spirit together with Christ and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
C: For by his grace we have been saved through faith. And this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God!
– based on Ephesians 2:4-8

L: Lord God, we praise you for raise us from the grave, for taking our dry, dead bones and breathing your Spirit into us and giving us life! It is for your glory that we have been given life and we pray that as we go, your spirit would empower us to make your glory known in all that we do! Cause us to hold fast to your truth, to believe in Jesus and to rest in his work for us in all of life. Break our hearts for those that are dead in sin. Cause us to love and pray for those who are still dead in sin. May you strength us to boldly speak the truth of your gospel in all that we do.
C: May your glory transform our neighborhoods and our city as people experience and respond to the grace of Jesus!

Peace be with you.
C: And also with you.
