Welcome to the recap of the songs, hymns and spiritual song of the Veritas worship gathering on February 9th, 2014.

Song: “Praise to the Lord” by  Joachim Neander and Catherine Winkworth

Reading: Call to Worship

C: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits,
L: who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
—Psalm 103:1-6

C: Praise be to God who has provided all we need in Jesus Christ our Savior!

“Gifted Response” by Matt Redman

Song: “You Alone’ by Anthony Evans

Reading: Confession/Assurance

L: Father, we acknowledge the weight of our sin and the sad, helpless state we were in prior to the Cross. We confess to You our sin and unbelief. When the guilt of our ways threatens to overcome us, help us to remember Christ who became the sacrifice for our sins.
C: Give us the Holy Spirit to increase our faith and give us the strength to wait for You. May our lives be marked by dependency and faith, hoping in the blood Christ shed on the cross as our only righteousness. Amen

Song: “Shine Into Our Night” by Joel Sczebel

Song: “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” by Stuart Townend

Reading: Commitment

L: All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
C: Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
L: God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
C: So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins

—Ephesians 1:3-7
