Veritas Gathered: Preparing for Sunday – June 28th, 2015
We’re continuing our summer study of the Psalms this week. Elder Taelor Gray will be preaching a sermon called “Taste and See” based on Psalm 34:1-22. As we go through the the Book of Psalms let us remember the meaning behind the authors words and led the Holy Spirit guide us in correct understanding.
L: What can we say in response to God’s generous grace? If God is for us, who can be against us?
C: He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all. Won’t He also graciously give us all things?
L: Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
C: It is God who justifies.
L: Who is He that condemns?
C: Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is pleading with God on our behalf.
L: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
C: Nothing—not death nor life, angels nor demons, the present nor future, not any powers, not height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Check out this list of some of the songs we will be singing together this week:
- “Oh God” – This song reminds us that even when it seems God is distant, he is near to us.
- “Wait” – A powerful and upbeat call to wait upon God, because when we do, we are assured of his strength and power in our lives.
- “Holy Holy Holy” – A hymn that speaks to the glory and majesty of our God, the realization of which calls us to praise him with all that is in us.
Here is a link to a Spotify playlist. Even though our arrangements might be slightly different, listen through these songs and see the great truths that they speak about our God and then come prepared to sing them out loudly and joyfully as a gathered church.
