Veritas Gathered: Preparing for Sunday August 30th, 2015
This week we are continuing through the book of Acts, the early history of the church. Brad Snyder will be preaching a sermon called “Paul’s Arrest” based on Acts 21-26. As we learn through this story of Paul and the early church, let us remember the meaning behind the authors words and led the Holy Spirit guide us in correct understanding.
Praise be to God,
who rescues us from the power of darkness; who redeems us, and sets us free!
Praise be to Jesus Christ, the firstborn of all creation,
through whom all things were made, in heaven and on the earth.
Praise be to the Spirit of God,
whose presence sustains us, and whose breath renews all creation.
Behold! He is making all things new!
Come, O God, as You have made Your home among us.
Continue to pour out Your Spirit and renew the face of the earth.

Check out this list of some of the songs we will be singing together this week:
- “Satisfied in You” – A song to remind us that even when we forget, we truly need nothing aside from our Savior, and that He remains steadfast in our doubt and frustration.
- “Hail the King” – A song of joyful praise, pouring out the adoration that the Father so deserves.
- “Hallelujah, What A Savior” – a hymn of remembrance, calling us to dwell on the immense and amazing sacrifice of the Son.
Here is a link to a Spotify playlist. This playlist is comprised of songs being played at all four congregations this weekend, so you may not hear them all at your congregation. Even though our arrangements might be slightly different, listen through these songs and see the great truths that they speak about our God and then come prepared to sing them out loudly and joyfully as a gathered church.
