Veritas Gathered: Preparing for Sunday September 27th, 2015
This week we are continuing our walk through the story of redemption, working from Genesis to Revelation. Brad Snyder will be preaching a sermon called “The Fall ” based on Genesis 3;6-7. As we reflect on the history of our own redemptive story, let us remember the meaning behind the authors words and let the Holy Spirit guide us in correct understanding.
L: With joy we praise you, gracious God, for you created heaven and earth, made us in your image, and kept covenant with us – even when we fell into sin. You invite us to the cross even in the midst of our brokenness. In the work of Your Son Jesus You give us life, redeeming and restoring your image in us.
C: We give you thanks for Jesus Christ, our Lord, who by his life, death, and resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life. Therefore we join our voices with the saints and angels and the whole creation to proclaim the glory of your name.

Check out this list of some of the songs we will be singing together this week:
- “Come Thou Fount” – an old hymn that calls us to praise and worship the Father for the blessings of each day.
- “Come Ye Sinners” – a call to come to the Father as we are – we will never fix ourselves, we will never get our act together enough to be worthy of God’s grace, but He loves us anyway.
- “Before The Throne of God Above” – A reminder of Christ’s intercession on our behalf, as well as that despite the Enemy’s best efforts, we cannot be separated from the Father.
Here is a link to a Spotify playlist. This playlist is comprised of songs being played at all four congregations this weekend, so you may not hear them all at your congregation. Even though our arrangements might be slightly different, listen through these songs and see the great truths that they speak about our God and then come prepared to sing them out loudly and joyfully as a gathered church.
