Welcome to the recap of the songs, hymns and readings of the Veritas worship gathering on April 3, 2016

Song: “Made Alive”

Song: “The Word”

Song: “Come Thou Fount”

:::APOSTLES CREED:::

Together we confess:

“I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father,
He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.”

:::CONFESSION/ASSURANCE:::

L: Oh Lord, we confess our need for you. The burdens of life are tearing us down and fear has overcome our thoughts. Satan fills our head with lies about You. When we do not trust that You will come through for us, when we believe the lies of the enemy, remind us of Your truth! You bore our burdens and conquered our fear!
C: In You, we fear nothing, even death itself! You have made the sting of death our victory! Because of Your death and resurrection, we have life! We will praise You for You have made Your victory our own!

Song: “Abide With Me”

:::PASSING OF THE PEACE:::

:::PROCLAMATION OF THE WORD:::

Our sermon was entitled “Revival: For the Love of God”, from Isaiah 55-56.

:::COMMUNION:::

L: In the night in which he was betrayed, Our lord Jesus took bread, He gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take and eat; this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.

L: Again, after supper, He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying; this cup is The new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me.

Silent Reflection – to prepare our hearts to come to the Lords table

L: Jesus’ death brings us life and this meal reminds us that we are fed by Jesus and forgiven because of Jesus.

C: We rejoice that You have died, have risen, and are now with the Father advocating for us. Amen.

L: With our money, time, and talent we give generously, knowing that through Your Son, Jesus, You have generously given to us.

C: We rejoice that You have given everything and we joyfully give everything back to Your care. Amen.

C: We rejoice that You have given everything and we joyfully give everything back to Your care. Amen.

Song: “Hallelujah What a Savior”

Song: “In Christ Alone”
