This week we are continuing our walk through the story of redemption, working from Genesis to Revelation. Wes Thompson will be preaching a sermon called “Covenant ” based on Genesis 15:18. As we reflect on the history of our own redemptive story, let us remember the meaning behind the authors words and let the Holy Spirit guide us in correct understanding.
L: Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered, He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations. Praise the Lord!
-based on Psalm 105:1-4, 5, 7-8 ESV
Check out this list of some of the songs we will be singing together this week:
- “Praise to the Lord” – a celebration of God’s goodness and majesty.
- “Oh God” – This song reminds us that even when it seems God is distant, he is near to us.
- “Jesus At The Center – a song that centers us on the fact that Christ is the most important thing, and without Him life is so empty.
Here is a link to a Spotify playlist. This playlist is comprised of songs being played at all four congregations this weekend, so you may not hear them all at your congregation. Even though our arrangements might be slightly different, listen through these songs and see the great truths that they speak about our God and then come prepared to sing them out loudly and joyfully as a gathered church.
