Cascading Communications

Tracking the way we plan to deliver messages reduces miscommunication and hurt feelings. If you have news to share that starts internally and then eventually gets out to the public, you’ll want to work through this cascading comms model. Sometimes the news starts somewhere in the middle of the organization. Before that news goes down on the chart, make sure it goes up to the top and then falls back down through the church. At every step of the way, make sure the recipients know the next step and if they are welcome to disrupt the communications plan based on information they have. Your message will be enhanced by this process.
