International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) extends friendship and hospitality to the thousands of international students that come to Columbus each year from around the world, with a vision to make Christ known among the nations. The ministry relies heavily on volunteers and partners with local churches, including Veritas, to reach students with the gospel. There are many ways to get involved, with varying commitment, including picking students up from the airport, becoming a conversation partner, hosting a student for a holiday meal, leading a weekly Bible study, or helping with annual events. Find out more at https://www.ifipartners.org/.

In addition to attending a 2-hour training, there are two other steps to become a volunteer, which you are encouraged to complete in advance:

  1. Fill out a brief application at https://www.ifipartners.org/get-started/
  2. Complete the background check form (waived for OSU students, staff, faculty)

Please sign up to let us know you are coming to the training. If you can’t make the in-person training, an online option is available; details will be emailed to you after you complete the application.
