All of ministry is a calling. For some, that is a calling to ministry in their vocation. For others, ministry is their vocation, if only for a season. From the Pastor to the newest of part-time employees, Veritas staff role is a ministry role and is shaped and envisioned to advance the ministry and mission of Veritas Community Church.

Central

The Central Administrator is responsible for the administrative tasks of the Central Team and Leadership Council. The Central Administrator reports directly to the Central Operations Pastor. This role provides support to the leadership team through maintaining key systems, developing processes, and implementing strategies. This role directly benefits the entire church by removing administrative burdens from staff pastors and central staff members.

MINISTRY DESCRIPTION

Finance:

  • Assist with budgeting processes as necessary
  • Research and compile best practices for staff compensation
  • Data entry and reporting findings
  • Oversee giving systems and reporting (donor statements, updates)

Human Resources:

  • Process Management: Time-off requests, new hire onboarding
  • Policies: update Veritas staff handbook, administer (schedule) performance evaluations, execute/manage asset management

General Administration:

  • Veritas Learning Classes: scheduling, creating and managing class registration forms, coordinating childcare, and building use maintenance
  • Calendaring: maintain central (church-wide) calendar
  • Hospitality: room setup, print materials, food, and drinks for all staff meetings and leadership council meetings
  • Resource sharing and collaboration: maintain and assist with the development of the church’s HUB; assist congregations with administrative needs as necessary

Communications:

  • Assist the communications director by manipulating and analyzing data in Excel spreadsheets
  • Operate the office (RICOH) printer and maintain its functions to ensure smooth production for any print materials
  • Set up efficient forms with conditional formatting and logic such as “IF-THEN” statements in order to improve current communication strategies

COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with general business practices such as legal policies, operations, finance, human resources, and communications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel particularly), calendar and email systems, and Google
  • Ability to create processes, manage and execute projects, and identify and address needs/complexities within the organization

EXPECTATION OF TIME: 40 hours per week (full-time)
