From the Pastor to the newest of part-time employees, Veritas staff role is a ministry role and is shaped and envisioned to advance the ministry and mission of Veritas Community Church.

Office Administrator
for the Short North Congregation

The Short North Office is in need of an organized administrator who can walk alongside the pastors and staff to assist with all the administrative and organizational elements of the church’s ministry and work. This will involve things like office front door reception, office/meeting space hospitality, general office email and phone, managing the calendars and office files/documents, building use scheduling and management, special event and occasional sunday gatherings hospitality, printing, supplies, general communications, and working with different SN ministries to assist with their general office and administrative needs. (printing, scheduling, errands, etc). This role reports to the Lead Pastor.

We are looking for someone who is organized, hospitable, efficient, able to manage multiple projects at the same time, has general communication and writing skills and is experienced with basic computer and online software and programs.

36 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm. (Church offices are closed on Fridays) The start date for this role is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

(This is an overview and subject to changes to meet the needs of the staff and office.)

Office and Event Hospitality:

  • Front door reception
  • Coffee prep for Office and meetings
  • Answering phone
  • General organization/cleaning, decor, and aesthetics of the offices and meeting spaces.
  • Meeting prep: setup/teardown/hospitality
  • Overseeing meeting spaces/office reservations and preparing rooms.
  • Occasional organizing and leading hospitality for special events (Members meetings, conferences, etc)
  • Occasional helping lead and orchestrate Sunday Gathering hospitality/Veritas in 10, as needed.

Administration

  • Mail deposits and pickup
  • Printing for office and staff/ministries
  • Office supplies / inventory / ordering
  • General errands
  • Managing church event calendar
  • Managing church/ministry files (online and physical)
  • General communication and email response
  • Admin and setup for Classes (Veritas Learning, foundations, etc)
    • (Printing, Signage, sign in sheets, hospitality)
  • Ministry/Staff Assistance and Admin.
    • Helping with various projects and ministries,
    • Assisting staff with various admin needs
    • Details to be determined.
  • Emergency assistance request intake and implementation

Building Use

  • SHAN Cleaning Management
  • Continental Realty liaison (Building Management company)
  • Building use request management
    • Overseeing Planning Center Resources
    • Building use calendar oversight
    • Key/FOB issuing and management
    • Day of use management and oversight
  • Weddings
    • Scheduling and policies
    • Day of use management and oversight
