ABOUT OUR LEADERSHIP//

At Veritas, the senior pastor is our Lord Jesus Christ. He runs the show and has ultimate authority. Under His leadership are two formal leadership positions: elders and deacons. The elders, or pastors, are responsible for teaching and preaching, overall administration, casting vision, and are responsible for the church as a whole. Next come deacons, who have responsibility for specific ministries within the church in areas such as missions and the arts.

With multiple campuses, we have one Veritas Elder Team that serves in different roles over each of the campuses including Campus Pastors who are a part of the Veritas Elder Team.

NICK NYE:

Short North Campus Pastor and Lead & Teaching Pastor of Veritas

Responsibilities: Teaching, Leadership & Vision [full time staff]
Family: Brittany and I are married with three children: Viola (July 2006), Charlotte (June 2008), & Simone (December 2009)
Hometown: Newark, OH
Education & Experience:
- B.A. in Religion from Wright State University
- M. Div. from Southern Seminary
- Is Pursuing a Ph.D. from Southern Seminary
- Worship Leader and Pastor for 11 years
- Mercy Ministries Leader in Chicago, IL; Dayton, OH & Louisville, KY
- Student Staff with WSU Campus Crusade for Christ
Favorite book other than the Bible: Renewal as a Way of Life by Richard Lovelace
Favorite music/bands: Sunny Day Real Estate, Bob Dylan, Elliot Smith, Foo Fighters, Wilco, Tom Waits, Radiohead, Pedro the Lion, Jimmy Eat World and many more.
Hobbies/interests: Playing music (Guitar, singing, drums), backpacking, reading, soccer and dating my wife.

BRAD SNYDER:

Tri-Village Campus Pastor and Community Life Pastor of Veritas

Responsibilities: Community Group development, Evangelism and Outreach, Missions to Columbus and the world [full time staff]
Family: Courtney and I were Married in the Fall of 2007 and have a daughter, Scarlett (July 2011)
Hometown: Austin, TX
Education & Experience:
- B.A. in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University
- Team leader in Northwest England with Campus Crusade for Christ
- Youth Minister
- Student leader of Fraternity Ministry at Miami University

JOE BYLER:

Short North Campus Worship Director and Worship & Executive Pastor of Veritas

Responsibilities: Worship, Music, Arts, Executive Admininistration [full time staff]
Family: Renee and I were married in April 2003 and have three children: Addison (January 2007), Eisley (May 2009), and Finley (December 2011)
Hometown: Salisbury, PA
Education & Experience:
- A.A. in General Bible Studies from Rosedale Bible College
- Vineyard Leadership Institute two year program with Worship track
- Worship Leader for 6 years
- Youth Pastor for 3 years

Favorite music/bands: Sunny Day Real Estate, Manchester Orchestra, Dirty Projectors, Radiohead, City and Colour, Dredg, Imogen Heap, Iron & Wine, Mute Math, Elbow, The Raconteurs, Blindside, Staple, Silversun Pickups and so many more.
Hobbies/interests: Music and guitars (playing, recording, producing, etc.), soccer, web coding, traveling, good coffee and good conversation, hanging with my girls (wife and daughters).

JOEL WORKMAN:

Pastor of Counseling

Family: Julie and I were married in January 1996 and have four children: Luke (July 1998), Faith (February 2000), Anya (March 2002) and Chloe (August 2003)
