Song: “Come Thou Fount” by Robert Robinson and John Wyeth

Reading: Confession/Assurance

L: Christ is our peace. He came to earth proclaiming peace to those who are far off and those who are near.
C: This proclamation has reached our ears but we confess it has not settled into our hearts.
L: Anxiety and fear haunt our frenzied days and our restless nights. We numb ourselves with mindless activities and shallow pleasures.
C: Forgive us, O Lord.
L: Christ is our peace. In his flesh, through his blood, he has taken those divided by hostility and made them one.
C: Forgive us for not seeking peace in Christ but in our divisions.
L: Grant us now, we pray, the grace to die daily to sin, and to rise daily to new life in Christ, who lives and reigns with us.
C: Christ is our peace. Open us and fill us with this peace. For your mercy we pray. Amen.
– based on Ephesians 2: 11-22

L: This is the good news that we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised to life on the third day,
C: We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. He is our Lord and our God.
L: We rejoice that the Spirit of God is transforming our hearts and lives through the Gospel of Jesus, as He is waking and empowering us to see our place in this world.
C: Go forth in us, Spirit of God, that we may be the unified church; as we live out the gospel in loving community, display the gospel as active servants. understand the gospel by being learners of God’s Word and proclaim the gospel as we live on mission.

Song: “Grace Alone” by The Modern Post

Benediction:

Hear this benediction as we go:

L: As you go, may the unrelenting grace of God and his Spirit empower you to boldly live out the mission of the gospel that we have been invited into. May we be a community of love and grace, boldly serving each other, our neighbors and our world. Go in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Peace be with you.
C: And also with you.
