Veritas Gathered: Preparing for Sunday – March 8th, 2015

This week we continuing through studying the book of Acts! This Sunday’s message is titled “Boldness”. The sermon text for this series is Acts 4:23-31. In this passage we follow Peter and John as they speak about Christ with great boldness. Verse 31 says “And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” So, as we continue through this book lets open our ears and our hearts to hear from God through His Word and follow Him boldly!

As we go through this lenten season be sure to check out our weekly prayer guides at !

L: I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You have established Your faithfulness in heaven itself.
C: Who is like You, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and Your faithfulness surrounds You.

—Psalm 89:1-2, 8

Check out this list of some of the songs we will be singing together this week:

  • “Everything Is Yours – Liz Vice” –  Simply put this is a song proclaiming that nothing belongs to us. All the we have and need is our Father’s.
  • “Jesus at the Center – Israel Houghton” – This is a song that speaks to that truth that Jesus needs to be the focus of every aspect of our lives
  • “O Fount of Love – Matt Papa” – This is a gospel saturated song of praise and thanks.

Here is a link to a Spotify playlist. Even though our arrangements might be slightly different, listen through these songs and see the great truths that they speak about our God and then come prepared to sing them out loudly and joyfully as a gathered church.
