Have you ever felt like you want to read your Bible but you just don’t know where to begin? Maybe you’ve started a Bible reading plan for a New Year’s Resolution but by day five you hit that list of confusing names in Genesis 5 and just didn’t know how to keep going. The Bible can, seemingly, be full of strange, disjointed stories (like talking donkeys, splitting open seas, and the sun standing still for an entire day). But, because God is a loving God who longs for us to be in relationship with him, he has been teaching his people how to read his word for thousands of years. If we learn what questions to ask, the historical context behind different passages, and how to lean on the good work of church history, we will find that the Bible is a wildly transformational book, full of wisdom and driven by God’s great love for us.

Open to people from all congregations.
