What to Know

Church family,

Below you’ll find information you’ll want to have before we meet together at Upper Arlington to worship Jesus, who bled and died on our behalf with a love we won’t find anywhere else!

Give yourself extra time to arrive, park, and get acclimated to the building. We hope many of you will arrive early so we can connect with one another before the worship gatherings begin.

  • Good Friday: Friday, April 15th at 7:00pm (plan to arrive at 6:30pm)
  • Easter: Sunday, April 17th at 10:00am (plan to arrive at 9:30am)

Invite People

People tend to be more curious about faith and God around this time of year, so don’t hesitate to invite someone through our Facebook events, share this invitational video, or download one of the invite cards below and use them to text a friend. For Easter, let them know that if they go to our Easter page and click “Plan Your Visit” they will get a close-to-the-building parking pass; and if they have children, they can reserve a spot in the kids room in advance. This will help us be the most prepared to welcome your friends!

Parking & Entering

Parking is available on the streets surrounding the building. You’ll see a small parking lot on the north side of the building. You are welcome to park here, but keep in mind that we are planning to hold some of these prime spots for guests, visitors, people with disabilities, and for anyone that would most benefit from parking close to the entrance. Be aware that Brandon Rd (east of the school) is one-way North and Mt Holyoke Rd is one-way South. You can also park on Zollinger Rd.

Enter the building on the north side nearest the corner of Brandon and Zollinger.

Kids Check-In

We will have our check-in stations open by the time you arrive, and classrooms will open 15 minutes before the worship gatherings start. Note that elementary classrooms (K-2nd) are only available at the Easter gathering.

Food & Drink

When you arrive, you’ll notice the school has an enormous, beautiful hallway where we’ll mingle before and after the gatherings. On Easter Sunday we’ll serve coffee and light snacks, but please keep the food and drink consolidated to this area in the hallway near the spot it’s served.

No food and drink will be allowed inside the auditorium where we’re holding our worship gatherings. We will have tables near the auditorium doors where you can leave your tumblers, cups, and mugs. Closed container water bottles are the only exception in the auditorium.

Communion

We will serve communion on Easter Sunday. You can participate by common cup or individually packaged cups. Due to communion being an exception to food and drink in the auditorium, we kindly ask that you to please supervise your children’s participation during communion.

Installation

Art Installation

You’ve probably seen new art on the walls in your building on Sunday. Artists from all across our congregations have participated in this themed stained-glass depiction of death & life. These pieces will be on display at Upper Arlington High School on Good Friday in the glass showcases near the auditorium entrance. Then on Sunday you’ll see the pieces re-assembled and united to reveal something even greater!

Easter Sunday Photo Booths

On Easter Sunday we’ll have three designated photo backdrops where we encourage you to take photos with your friends and family. We plan to have some of our connect volunteers floating in that area to help you take photos with your own cameras or phones.
