Summary/Objective

This role will oversee the Learning Extension Center (LEC) ministry that is currently being offered within the Short North Veritas building for the rest of the 2021 school year. The Site Leader will work closely with the Director of Mercy & Justice to implement the vision and strategy of the LEC ministry, and ensure all goals and standards for the LEC are being met.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate engagement and passion for the Learning Extension Center’s (LEC) mission and vision, as well as a passion for building relationships for the sake of gospel
• Work with Director of Mercy & Justice to create and implement best practices for how the LEC should be organized and managed
• Physically be present each day the LEC is open, providing leadership and direction to volunteers as they serve
• Provide on-going stability for the various relationships and volunteers involved with the LEC, and consistency to the LEC’s daily routine
• Organize and manage up to 20 LEC volunteers
• Communicate effectively with volunteers and parents of participating students
• Handle discipline and other unique situations as they arise, with grace and wisdom
• Ensure all Veritas safety and childcare policies are being observed

Required Education/Experience

Site Leader must currently be a member of Veritas Community Church, or in the process of becoming a member, and willing to submit a background check.
