Summary/Objective

This position leads and develops Gospel-centered ministry to kids and families of Veritas Tri-Village.

Essential Functions

• Further develop the vision and policies of Veritas Kids’ ministry at the Tri-Village Congregation in line
  with the overall vision and rhythms of Veritas Community Church.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment in accordance with Veritas Kids policies and procedures.
• Lead Veritas Kids volunteer trainings at Tri-Village, training kids ministry leaders and volunteers
  toward a greater vision of teaching and shepherding children in the gospel.
• Update and develop schedules for Veritas Kids Volunteers.
• Have a working knowledge of Planning Center (our online scheduling system).
• Oversee and coordinate kids classes and activities during Sunday morning gatherings.
• Keep a current inventory of all supplies.
• Create a budget for the Tri-Village Children’s Ministry and ensure it is followed.
• Develop and implement kids events and programs throughout the year such as VBS, Christmas programs, Backyard Kids Club, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility

• Oversee team leaders and volunteers.

Required Education/Experience

• Must be a member in good standing or willing to pursue membership of Veritas Community Church.
• Proven ability to lead dozens of volunteers and work well teaching and caring for children.
• Strong organizational abilities and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution.
• Previous knowledge of children’s safety policies/protocol desired.
