Summary/Objective

The West Kids Ministry Director manages the Kids program for Sunday gatherings along with special services.

Essential Functions

• Further develop the vision and policies of Veritas Kids’s ministry at the West Congregation in line with the overall vision and rhythms of Veritas Community Church.
• Oversee the process to choose, develop, and adapt curriculum for all levels of Kids Ministry.
• Recruit, train, and equip new and current volunteers toward a greater vision of teaching and shepherding children in the gospel.
• Communicate with and equip parents regarding the discipleship and spiritual growth of their children.
• Create a budget for the West Kids Ministry and ensure it is followed.
• Develop and implement additional kids events throughout the year. (Christmas program, VBS, back to school, etc.)
• Oversee kids ministry inventory including snacks, craft supplies, etc.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment in accordance with Veritas Kids policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversee lead teachers and volunteers.

Required Education/Experience

• Must be a member in good standing or willing to pursue membership of Veritas Community Church.
• Proven ability to lead dozens of volunteers and children.
• Strong organizational abilities and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution.
• Previous knowledge of children’s safety policies/protocol desired.
