Discussion Questions
  1. What do you think of when you think of revival? How would you define it?
  2. Are we ready for revival? What would it mean to be ready for revival? What does being desperate have to do with it?
  3. When Isaiah cries in 61:4, “Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down,” can we honestly say that we want this? Come Lord Jesus or “your kingdom come” (Matthew 6:9-13) means that everything is changed and transformed. Do we want transformation? Or are we satisfied with how we are, or more subtly, are we satisfied with simply acknowledging our sin and hardness of heart and wanting that to be enough?
  4. If it is true that God’s presence is the only true fuel for transformation (consider Matthew 28:20), how does that work? Do we pursue God’s presence? Does He pursue us? What does working this out in your life look like?

Like Nick mentioned, maybe take some time to read the Lord’s prayer together and meditate upon it. Asking the Lord to lift the hardness from our hearts and forgive us of our sin, that we would long for His kingdom to come.
