Worshipers
Worship should be conscious and we desire to worship continuously in the way we live, speak, and think, but also in how we spend our time, money, energy, and focus as constant overflows of our love and faith in Christ.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Luke 12:34)
Our ultimate desire is for Christ to be our greatest treasure and to praise Him with every passion and purpose in our lives — in both joy and sorrow. Joy is a state of being that we seek as we are sanctified daily. Our worship is the reflection of our joy in the Lord’s saving grace.

Community
We want people to come to church every Sunday not out of duty, but as a joyful outpouring of faith. We want them to praise God and to learn and grow in faith and knowledge of the Gospel. Equally, we want to invest in the body of Christ — to learn the Gospel and teach it to one another daily. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are part of a new family that we hope to grow and build as we learn the truth of the Gospel together.
We encourage you to become an active member of this body, to invest in the people around you, and to share the peace you received from God with one another. We are a church that wants to be “in the city, for the city”. We believe that we are called to be a light and voice of the Gospel in the community around us.

Servants
Jesus was a servant leader. He washed the feet of His disciples and gave His life so that we may be free. We are called to love because He first loved us. We are called to give of ourselves just as He gave His life for us. As we are uniquely called, we serve by our different gifts and talents in many different acts of love. Our desire at Veritas is to have hearts so in love with God that we cannot help but pour out love to our community.

Learners
God’s work in our lives is an evolving process for His eternal perspective. He faithfully continues to change our hearts. Part of this growing process is learning to never be static in our knowledge of God, but rather to evolve and move towards deeper truth. To that end, we offer Veritas Foundations — membership classes designed to teach what we believe and why. We also offer a more intensive Bible course called the Veritas School of Theology as well as internships designed to equip future church leaders with Gospel-centered tools and truths.
Our God desires to be known. He is a living God, ready to have a real relationship with us in every moment. In loving Him, it is impossible not to strive to know Him better. This is why the Bible is so valuable to us: it is a powerful way in which God reveals Himself. We are a church who loves the Bible and faithfully studies it. This means that we preach through books of the Bible and that we are constantly in Scripture, studying uncomfortable truths. We are joyful in God’s promises and faithful in our desire to know more of who God says He is in His Living Word.

Missionaries
Jesus was the ultimate missionary and He tells us to make His name known. We are called to be missionaries for God both at home and abroad, shining light for Him in this dark and broken world. Our call is not merely to be faithful believers, but to reflect God’s glory in our city and in the world. We join Him in the renewal of His people and creation, pursuing and managing growth of our home church and the global church. We must step out of our fear and comfort to proclaim Christ here and abroad.
Many times, our mission starts close to home — with friends, family, and co-workers. At Veritas, our desire is to pursue and live life with our home community and to equip our members to be mission-focused in a local and personal context. God does not call everyone into missions abroad. He calls some of us to be a light for Him here at home. In this spirit, Veritas encourages Community Groups and individuals to pursue the people in our city, while at the same time equipping others to share Christ around the world.
