Church Membership
We are not meant to be alone; God created in us a need for Him and a need for one another. Therefore, we are called to not only be members of the universal church, but also to invest in our local church bodies. A powerful way to do this is to become a member of a local church, to seek a church family who will invest in us, who will teach the truth in love, and who will spur us on toward Christ and His truth.
To become a member at Veritas,
we ask that you:
1.) Have made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and have been baptized as a believer. (Learn more about Baptisms here.)
2.) Participate in our Veritas Foundations classes: two days of three-hour blocks intended to explore what Veritas believes and why.
3.) Meet with a church elder for a Membership Interview, in order that we may know you better, hear your story, answer any questions, pray for you, encourage you, and invest in you more fully.
4.) Sign the Membership Covenant. Read over the Membership Covenant here.
If you are interested in membership at Veritas, please contact us via the Connect page or email veritas@veritascolumbus.com for more information about the next Veritas Foundations class schedule and setting up a meeting with an elder.
Church Leadership and Staff
Jesus Christ is the head of the church, both locally and universally. Our leaders seek to follow Him in every action, word, and choice they make for Veritas. The Elders/Pastors work under Jesus, taking responsibility for the spiritual growth and leadership of the church body through prayer, teaching, and vision. The Deacons and Staff work under the Elders in specific church ministries, carrying out the mission of the gospel as lead servants. The Members carry out the mission of the gospel to Columbus and beyond.
